If you decide to go plastic, look at the Kel Tec LC9.  I like mine. Carry it more often than the J frame now.

I have a RIA CS in a 3.5 inch parkarized frame and slide that I carry and it shoots anykind of .45 ammo with no problem.

Well I appreciate all the input.  Should have a 3913 in about a week or so.  Probably paid a little more than I should have.
Got a line on a slightly used Ruger SR9.  I like the Kahr also, maybe I'll pick one up in .40.  I like the 1911 9mm and the small 1911 .45s too.  So many guns and so little money.  Maybe I can get billt to adopt me.
