As late as last night Hannity was reporting all sorts of doom and gloom - today was in my mind a lot of nothing.

Time to bring the pain if you ask me, going to do another round of letters.  This time I'll kick the boys into writting them too.  Drag their butts into town to mail them, and maybe eat something massivly unhealthy at Hardee's  Grin

Use his own words against him...
"While there is no law, or set of laws, that can prevent every senseless act of violence completely, no piece of legislation that will prevent every tragedy, every act of evil, if there’s even one thing we can do to reduce this violence, if there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try,"

Sounds like a "These laws wouldn't have done any good, but I'll force them on you anyway."

We can save lives by getting inner city gang-bangers off the streets and mental health professionals back to actually TREATING patients instead of just giving them meds and sending them home.

That's right, Barry, you do have an obligation to try.  And keeping your grubby mitts our firearms will save a lot more lives than your silly little bans ever will.

Bravery and stupidity are often synonymous.  So are cowardice and intelligence.

"We Americans have been a rebellious band of freedom loving vagabonds from the very beginning. Our freedom from the crown and tyranny would not exist had it not been for the gun. That's a tradition we like to hold on to.  The same can't be said for the rest of you 'Subjects of the Queen'."--said to a Canadian friend who just doesn't get it.

Yeah, he blinked....but only after averting the stare down.  We now know what "they" think their limits are to stay in power....they have talked rare steak but served up tofu.  Not that we should not be watching for the bureacratic back doors in the executive orders.

Benghazi has almost blown over for them and the budget thing has wound down a bit.  BHO probably thinks he deserves another vacation.

The Republicans are adrift and "leaderless" with the girl Boehner when weakness is shown by the socialist/communist... conservatives should be taking it to them on any number of political fronts by going on the political offensive.  A moment of opportunity, missed again because of compromising RINO's...oh but to replace Boehner with a real woman, like Margaret Thatcher from across the pond.

IMO, it was not so much a blink as a tactical CYA move.  If there's one thing I can say, his Administration is not dumb.  He basically made a good show of providing some action items to make it look like he's doing something.  It strengthened his Obamacare tentacles but none of them were overt attacks on the 2nd Amendment.  Rather, he left that for Congress to to fight it out, and take the heat if the whole gun control push goes south.  Then he'll be able to say, "look, I tried but that evil gun lobby is to blame."

The devil is in the regulations that will come forth. These people aren't going away. The media will not let them let it go anyway. Did any of you see this clip from "Morning Joe"?

George,

If they don't see the hypocrisy, they are stupid. If they do see the hypocrisy and ignore it, they think we are stupid. The NRA served notice that we will fight and fight dirty if we have to. And that probably scares them a bit, but they won't be deterred. Steel ourselves for a knock-down, drag-out?

The NRA could have made a hundred better points than that one, or used a wider scope. The left is saying that NRA has made his children targets because he's black.
Funny how in every "conversation" it's the liberal types who start throwing the "N" word around first.
