Don't worry about the rules.  We make them up as we go,

And the points don't count.

Did you guys tell him about the corner?

That's kind of important.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

This forum runs on "Drift Power" ....... like a typical conversation at a local bar.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

I have an old Empire State Arms Co. shotgun.  It is a single barrel, single shot, 16 gauge shotgun and the serial no. engraved on the end of the wooden stock appears to be either 14223 or 142243.  Can anyone tell me how old this old shotgun might be?  It is in good condition.  I can post a picture if necessary.

From what I can discover, it appears that Empire State Arms Co. firearms were manufactured by Meriden Firearms Co. for Sears Robuck.  I can't find an exact manufacture date, but it would likely be around 1905.  Here's a link to Meriden:  https://meridenfirearms.wordpress.com/firearms-products/single-barrel-shotguns/

Hope this leads you in the right direction.

Hope this helps a little.

Hi! My name is Dianne Bishop, vice president of Bishop Ammunition and Firearms.  Merrisa, our company President, built the 458 SOCOM Bolt Action Rifle that Michael Baine reviewed.  I take care of building all of our ammunition and doing all of the graphic design work for our company. Merrisa builds the rifles and does the research and development. She is a California family attorney and a former Army military police officer.

During my time in the military, I spent 4 years on Active Duty in the Air Force in Satellite Communications, and after a 3 year break, another 9 years in the Active Air Force Reserve as a Jet Engine mechanic on C-5s, including a year I was involuntarily recalled to Active Duty for Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and the balance of my time (3 years) in the Individual Ready Reserves, whereupon I was Honorably Discharged.  Then 9 months later, 9/11 happened.

I was never a metallurgist.  [emoji16]
