Hi folks,

I just got off the phone with Ruger after checking on the response on the Ruger .380.

Since the launch last Saturday, they have orders coming in in high numbers.

Congrats to Ruger. It is so great to learn that the American industry is alive and well.

I know I am responsible for at least 1 of those, I inquired and so did a caller within a minute of me asking, the store owner called his distributor and upped his order by 2. Need to check the fit with my little girl hands, but if it's even half good, it's mine!!

As an LCP would make a GREAT Giveaway prize, hopefully DRTV accounts for one of those 87,000 guns.

$299-$309 will probably be where most respectable dealers will mark the LCP's.  There will be some number of retailers which incorrectly believe profit is a four letter word (like moms used to wash out of your mouth with LifebouyTM soap) that'll mark them less.

Wonderful!  Good to see a big launch like this.  For now I'll keep my P3AT but will look forward to range reports on the LCP.

Like cars, I never buy first model year guns. I'll wait until at least a year has gone by to make sure Ruger gets all the bugs worked out.

Marshall, I posted a llink to this page over on rugerforum.com, and the boys over there are quite skeptical about the 87,000 number and think maybe it should be 8,700.
Here is the link to that page:
