CCRKBA ALERT:CONTACT SENATE TO SUPPORT THUNE AMENDMENT FOR NATIONWIDE RECIPROCITY

BELLEVUE, WA – A vote is looming in the U.S. Senate on legislation that would bring national concealed carry reciprocity one step closer to becoming reality.

South Dakota Senator John Thune has introduced an amendment to S. 1290, the National Defense Authorization Act of 2010, that would require all states to recognize concealed carry licenses and permits from every other state, just the same as those states now recognize a driver’s license from another state.

Gun prohibitionists have been lobbying vigorously to defeat this important amendment, and it is important for gun owners to let their voices be heard.

Contact the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and leave a message for your senator.

A vote on Thune Amendment #1618 could come at any moment.

As Acoceal carry permit holder i am in favor of this law 100% I think it is our right to carry as law abiding people. Thanks Thomas Buck

The only thing that concerns me about nationwide reciprocity is that, whenever the feds touch anything, they likely will set ridiculously high “national standards” that will be out of reach of the average American. Nationalize anything, especially carry laws, and these clowns will soon pervert things to suit their own prohibitionist agenda. If this is to go anywhere at all, it needs to have language that prohibits reciprocity from becoming a tool for disarmament. I can see reciprocity becoming just what the left dreams of – CCW for only the elite, because only the elite (or connected) will be able to afford/qualify for the so-called “privilege.” The 2nd Amendment ought to be our only needed “permit,” barring only felons and the dangerously mentally ill.

Where can I adopt a senator? I am stuck with “Babs” Boxer and “DiFi” Feinstien for senators. They never met a gun ban they didn’t like.
Luckily I also have a Congressman who believes in the Second Amendment as interpreted by the five sane members of the Supreme Court.
But contact my senators? Waste of time!

Should be interesting for those of us who live in Illinois. We can’t even apply for a CCW permit. I’m able and permitted to carry in approximately 32 other states. I can’t legally carry in the remaining states because my home state won’t issue permits to citizens. Anyone want to adopt Chicago?
