This June, young girls will head out to go shoot something.  They will be attending the First Annual National Take Your Daughters To The Range Day! This event, held on June 9th, will be an opportunity for gun ranges throughout the nation to introduce many young women to a sport that may just become a life-long hobby, or even profession. Here is NRA News’ John Popp talking to Lynne Finch, founder of National Take Your Daughter to the Range Day.

I finally was able to drag my little sister to the range. After some pleading, she shot a P22, and after that she loved it, even shot my 9mm and my AR15. Great Day.

Thank you for posting this. I want you all to know that NTYDTTRD was a huge success with 37 ranges, lots of kids, more smiles that anyone could count and we all had an amazing time. Thank you for the support and hope to keep you on board for next year! Jun 15, 2013!
