According to Atlanta Business Chronicle, Taurus USA is considering moving from Miami, Florida.  If moving to Atlanta, the arms manufacturer would create up to 300 jobs in the area.

Taurus USA is also eyeing locations in Alabama, South Carolina and Brevard County, Fla., for a up to $20 million investment.

If Taurus relocated to Georgia from its Hialeah, Fla., location, it would locate manufacturing, distribution and corporate jobs in an up to 125,000-square-foot facility. The jobs would pay, on average, about $42,000.

Taurus makes a variety of semi-automatic pistols, revolvers and rifles. The company imports most of its guns from Brazil, but wants to boost its U.S. production capacity.
