Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center Hosts Book Signing for Team Captain, Julie Golob

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Are you interested in learning more about shooting sports? Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center and Retail Store is hosting a book signing for the newly released book, Shoot: Your Guide to Shooting and Competition by Julie Golob.

Competitors attending the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championships and the public will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of the author, Julie Golob, a multi-national and world champion shooter who is also the captain of Smith & Wesson’s highly successful shooting team.

Copies of Shoot will be available for purchase at the Shooting Sports center located at 299 Page Blvd. in Springfield, Mass. Julie will be on hand to sign books on Friday, February 24th from 4:30pm to 6:00pm.

In addition to the book signing, Julie will also be competing in the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals, a twelve stage event that will challenge some of the best shooters in the world on their skills in one of two International Defensive Pistol Association national championships.

“Representing Smith & Wesson in competition is both an honor and an incredible experience, especially considering the level of talent on the team,” said Julie. “Between competing at the prestigious Indoor Nationals and the opportunity to meet with people at the book signing who are eager to learn more about shooting, this will be an exciting weekend and I’m looking forward to it.”

The first book of its kind written by a woman and shooting champion, Shoot is published in beautiful full color by Skyhorse Publishing and features dramatic photos by renowned shooting sports photographer Yamil Sued. NRA Past President Sandy Froman penned a foreword for the book. Topics covered range from safety and a basic understanding of firearms for those who have never shot a firearm to tips and techniques for more experienced shooters.

Shoot: Your Guide to Shooting and Competition is available in print and ebook from Amazon, Barnes & Noble and iTunes.
