Leupold® Pro Doug Koenig Enjoys Summer of Titles

BEAVERTON, OR. – Leupold & Stevens, Inc. sponsored shooter Doug Koenig has had an eventful summer, racking up wins at the Bianchi Cup, the European Bianchi Cup and the Masters International Shooting Championship.
Koenig started his summer swing in late May by winning his 14th Bianchi Cup in a tight match that came down to X count.  Originally designed to test law enforcement officers, the Bianchi Cup challenges shooters’ speed and accuracy in four separate courses of fire. Koenig and Australian shooter Richard Sievert both shot perfect scores of 1920. Koenig had 20 more X’s.

Keeping in Bianchi form, Koenig travelled to Philippsburg, Germany, in late June to take on the world’s best once again at the European Open Bianchi Cup.  With his top-place finish, Koenig claimed his fourth European Bianchi title.
In August, Koenig picked up another victory at the Masters International Shooting Competition.  This marks Koeing’s 19th win at this match.  The Masters is designed to challenge a handgun competitor’s all-around skills, with three events that focus on speed, long-range accuracy and precision marksmanship.

The wide array of skills needed to win such different matches has earned Koenig the title of the “World’s Best All Around Shooter.”  Whether he’s shooting a precision match, or a full-speed run and gun pistol course, Koenig relies on Leupold optics for all his competition firearms.
