Wilson Combat X-TAC 1911

A new model from Wilson Combat is the full-sized X-TAC 1911 with a Carbon Steel frame. The name of the model tells us this one is aimed for law enforcement operators with its enhanced grip and improved durability over traditional checkering in severe and hard-use environments.  According to Wilson Combat, the X-TAC pattern is “scientifically designed to work with dry or wet hands, with our without tactical gloves and redefines secure shooting comfort and gunhandling without the coarse, often painful nature of other grip treatments”.

The model is equipped with their Wilson Combat 1911 Battlesight with a .145″ wide U-Notch for optimum sighting in low-light, dynamic range conditions. The rear blade of the sight is serrated, while the notch area is recessed into a semi-circular pocket for a crisp, protected sight picture.
