FMG Announces 2014 Shooting Industry Masters Winners

ShootingIndustryMasters2014Industry members from across the country gathered in Sebastian, Fla. at the Indian River Shooting Range, July 18-19 to launch the 12th Annual Shooting Industry Masters. Over 350 competitors and industry partners raised thousands of dollars in support of NSSF’s First Shots, USA Shooting and HAVA.

“Even the relaxed and fun format of the Masters brings out the best in true competitors,” said Randy Molde, Masters chairman. “This year’s top individuals and winning teams won with class and sportsmanship and should be proud of their efforts.”

Produced and managed by FMG Publications, the Shooting Industry Masters includes handgun, rifle and shotgun events – and a new event for this year: Team Tactics. Match attendees are grouped into two divisions: Industry and Open. In keeping with the relaxed spirit of the Masters, scores are not published.

The Industry Class team winners were, in first place, Daniel Defense Team #2 (Jason Poston, Ed Parsons, Vadim Dale and Kevin Flores), next best, Team Lipsey’s (Flint Virgets, Mark Emonet, Jason Cloessner and Brett Fry), and not last, Team CSSI (Bill Sumner, Mike Halleron, Ron Dan, Greg Chambers).

Individual Industry winners were, in first, Ed Parsons (Daniel Defense Team #2),next best, Ron Dan (TeamCSSI) and not last, Brian Osbourne (Streamlight Team #2). This year’s Industry High Lady title went to Tanya Gorin of Team XS Sights.

The Open Class Team winners were, in first place, Jim Clark Custom (Jim Clark, Logan Clark, James Clark and Aaron Hayes), FNH USA Pro (Ken Pfau, Mark Hanish, Larry Houck and Ernie Beckwith) was second best, and Hornady Pro (Adam Popplewell, Jeff Crambit, Dave Neth and Rick Porter) was not last.

Open Class Individual winners were, in first, Mark Hanish (FNH USA Pro), next best, Dave Neth (Hornady Pro) and not last, Bruce Piatt (Luth-AR). The Open Class High Lady title went to Team Benelli’s Dianna Liedorff.
