The United States calculates the concept of a Trillion differently than is done in England -- thank God! If we used the British system, we’d be in even worse trouble than we are monetarily. The British million is ten to the sixth power – a one with six zeroes behind it.—and so is our million. After that, it changes. Our billion is a thousand million, or ten to the ninth power. Their billion is a million million, which would be ten to the twelfth power. Our trillion is a thousand billion, or ten to the twelfth. Theirs is a billion billion? I think!?#%&* One can easily see how fortunate we are, compared to our cousins across the pond. The Democrats in the United States Congress would have to spend lots more taxpayer dollars to get us trillions of dollars in debt if we used the British system. Our system makes it much easier for them.
In order for the Democratic Congressional majority to put us British trillions in debt with the forced health care bills the majority of Americans don’t want, the Democrats would have to start actively recruiting illegal aliens to sneak into the United States, for example. The supply we have wouldn’t be enough. Through vigorous recruiting efforts, there would be more undocumented people to insure. But, that still might not be enough to reach into that rarified realm of the British trillion.
Maybe the Democrats could make deals with people – I use the word “people” loosely, of course -- like Hugo Chavez and Ahmadinejad and Colonel Moammar Khadafi, to insure all of their citizens as well. Yeah, well, they’re not citizens, just subjects. It seems that’s what the Administration in Washington and its minions in Congress are striving for here, too. It used to be Freedom of Speech, but Tea Parties are conspiracies not truly expressing the wishes of a significant portion of the American people -- well, that’s what they say and we know they wouldn’t lie. Right? .
I am getting really tired of this silliness. A bunch of misguided and disgruntled people voted in a leftist and all the other leftists in positions of power act like that means Americans want to trash the Constitution so we can be just like the oppressed peoples of Communist and Socialist and otherwise Totalitarian nations – you know, like the men and women protesting the likely-fixed election of Ahmadinejad in Iran? Okay, a bunch of American voters made a big mistake and elected a nice looking guy with a great speaking voice who seems to be giving Jimmy Carter a run for the money as the most incompetent President in American history. We can fix that mess by simply letting our elected representatives – the Democrats haven’t figured out how to get around that election thing yet – that we will vote them out in 2010 and 2012 and 2014, if they don’t stop acting like little princes and princesses and start being responsive to the will of their constituencies. Let’s remind them that this is America and lots of people have fought and died in order to be able to say that and we’re not going to let a bunch of leftists change that – ever.
